N FLOYD McGOWIN Jnr.
A master pilot now completing 50 years of flying. Called a man for many seasons, he attended a three room school in Chapman, Alabama and went on to graduate from Yale. He has been a Marine Corps Officer, a forest manager, CEO of his won business and a Director of some leading Alabama banking companies. He has logged over 13,000 hours in 58 types of piston, turbo-prop and jet aircraft. Has extensive experience in corporate, warbird and aishow flying. He pioneered an important aerial mapping technique for forest management. Operator of one of Alabama’s oldest airports, McGowin Field, established in 1930. He and his wife, Rosa, have three children and seven grandchildren.
